HISTORY   MAIN STEPS
Mechanica has been established in 1978 from the idea of its founder Mr. Giancarlo Padovani. Since the beginning of its activity, Mechanica became part of the automation and handling market as a services company. Immediately the prerogative for the future success of Mechanica became clear: capability to propose and develop solutions in deep cooperation with its Customers. In these years of large development, Mechanica immediately understood the priority of a global service concept, which the big manufacturing groups would always require to their suppliers. So as to anticipate market needs Mechanica started, since the beginning of the eighties, to have its own range of products to cover almost all of the handling demands of the production processes. Mechanica carried on its strategy of products and services diversification to be present in every field considered important for future development. Our present offer satisfies all demands of the main Italian and international airports and more in general meets the requirements of all companies in search of performing handling solutions.
1978 Mechanica is established by Mr. Padovani, as supplier of services in the internal logistics solutions sector, with a special attention to the conveyor lines.
1982 In the early eighties Mechanica starts to operate in the Airport sector, by supplying its first Baggage Handling System.
1994 The new factory of San Quirino (PN) is added to the original Paderno Dugnano (MI) one, so as to improve technical and production capacity.
1997 Mechanica develops its first international complete turn-key project in the Home Appliances sector.
2000 NetPeople is founded: a group of Italian manufacturers, worldwide leaders in the supply of technological systems for the home appliances sector.
2006 Mechanica becomes a group in which the holding company MHS supplies services to the other Group companies: Mechanica Srl, dedicated mainly to the home appliances sector and Mechanica Sistemi, focused on the airports handling systems.
Mechanica acquires the references, the documentation and the know-how of Stöcklin Handling System S.r.L., important company in the Italian airport sector and growing at international level; the core business of Stöcklin was the realization (designing, supply, installation and maintenance) of complete systems for handling and sorting of baggage, with integration of 100% security controls. Stöcklin also realized airport cargo systems for goods handling.
